Interior furniture from the beginning
The group has focused on interior furniture from the start, increasingly on furniture coated with pigmented paints.
1917
Smålandsstenar, Småland
Bröderna Johansson Sängfabrik AB began its history in Sweden.
2005
Czech subsidiary established
The Czech subsidiary was formed as BJS International Humpolec, s.r.o.
2006
Production starts in Humpolec
Production started near the D1 motorway in one 7,000 m² hall.
2008
BJS Czech s.r.o.
The company adopted its current name.
2009
BJS Components s.r.o.
BJS Components s.r.o. was established.
Later years
Two new halls
Production and warehouse space expanded to 21,000 m².
2013
Fourth hall
Own parts production started and total space reached 30,000 m².
2017
Czech Furniture Manufacturers Association
BJS joined the association and appeared in Dřevařský magazín.
2018
Open Day
The site opened to visitors.
2020
ISO 28 000
The company achieved ISO 28 000 certification.
2025
Production transformation
The production transformation towards lean manufacturing and greater team autonomy was completed.

20 years in Humpolec
BJS celebrates twenty years of production in Humpolec.
